The second edition of this Micro Support was under the theme of “Gender Equality”. The ArtsMap was initiated with the United Nation’s SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) in mind, and inspired by the Goal 17: ‘Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development’. The ArtsMap started with its micro-support to in turn inspire the ArtsMap network to create new partnerships and collaborations with the SDGs as their foundation. Every six months, ArtsMap comes up with a different theme that is relevant to today’s challenges and common questions. To help pioneer sustainable artistic and cultural dialogues, and use cultural exchange to create nuance.

The 5th goal and theme of this Micro Support open call was “Gender Equality”:  Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls. Gender Equality is not just a fundamental human right, but also a prerequisite for a world that is peaceful, affluent, and sustainable. We invited you to think and act together about the current situation and future of our world in the context of gender equality, while establishing new partnerships.

Projects that were eligible to apply for the Micro Support fund:

  • Offline and/or online projects
  • A collaboration between Dutch and Turkish professionals from the arts and culture
  • Drawn attention to gender equality

The ArtsMap provided financial support up to €1.000 for the realization of collaborative projects from registered ArtsMap members.
